Questions of wonder finished, resources gathered (don't forget to collect information about them in a bibliography
Conference Check In
Bring your questions of wonder and the research you've done to conferences.

Initial research completed (you will probably have to do a little more researach as you write and have more questions)
March 4 *
Ideas and facts organized to begin writing
March 18*
First draft of writing complete, begin to think of presentation
March 25*
Revision of writing complete, presentation form decided
April 1*
Bibliography complete

Editing of writing complete, presentation begun
April 6*
"Doing" portion of presentation planned

Poster (tri-fold) planned, pictures gathered, captions written.

Presentation completely planned, begin practicing

Poster completed (this allows students to use paper cutter at school if necessary)

Our spring break this year is March 28-April 6.  This calendar assumes you will do work over spring break.  If you are not going to be able to use that time, you should move your deadlines up by shortening your first draft and revision timelines.
