Education Teaching Methods Resources  An exhaustive list of resources on the web for everything from constructivist learning to Bloom's Taxonomy. Family Involvement  The National PTA has put together an excellent set of resources on family involvement Graphic Organizers  A creative list of organizers, linked to higher order thinking skills. National Education Association  A good site with both professional and pedagogical information. National PTA  Great source of information for educational and social issues. Pathways to School Improvement  A site that tries to guide teams who are working on school improvement and change. Theme Resources 700 Great Sites for Kids  A very useful index of sites organized by topic. Many higher level sites to use as enrichment. Alphabet Superhighway  Alot of good links as well as a cyberzine where kids can post writing. The "traveling tutor" has writer's workshop ideas. Berit's Best Sites For Children  This is a good site which ranks every site on a 5 point scale. Some of the sites are geared to younger elementary students. The sites are organized by topic and they only include sites they feel are very good. Blue Web'n  A great list of resources, especially useful because it's organized both by subject and by the type of information provided at the site. For example, science sites are listed as "lesson plans," "resource," "web-based project," or "activity" Canadian School Net  A carefully compiled collection of sites with some unusual finds. Worth checking out if you are designing a unit. Cyberbee  This is a good selection of links as well as ideas on how to integrate the internet into your curriculum. Education Gateway  An excellent and broad resource for teachers. It covers not only curriculum issues but also policy and social issues. Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators  A good source of links for both curriculum and professional information. Teacher Novel Guides Short guides to many novels appropriate for the middle grades.  Furnished by the Multnomah County Library in Oregon. Technology Microsoft Tutorials  Tutorials for using various Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Parents Guide to the Internet  An excellent introduction for parents and teachers on the internet. Think Quest Junior  This is an amazing program in which students do research and design websites. They work in teams and the results are amazing (many of the sites we've chosen as curriculum links came from the program). webTeacher Tutorial  A tutorial geared especially toward helping teachers utilize the web safely and effectively. Web Museum How-Tos  Build a museum with students work or has a theme's final project. This site has links to help you. WWW 4 Teachers  Want to integrate technology but not sure where to start?  This website is an amazing resource with lesson plans, suggestions, and inspiration.
